Career Highlights

  • Studied with Joe Morello

Joe Morello is probably best known for his long residency with the iconic Dave Brubeck Quartet and was one of the all-time great drummers who shaped the future of jazz drumming. In 2009 I was very lucky to study with this world renowned drummer Joe.

  • Toured with world renowned jazz saxophonist George Garzone

I first met George Garzone at a gig in Melbourne in 2012 and we kind of hit it off right from there. Garzone would stop by my regular gig in NYC in 2014 and sit in. It was a total honour when he invited me to join his 2017 NZ tour. The music was both exhilarating and intense.

  • Recorded an album with New York jazz heay-weights Joel Frahm and Orlando le Fleming

When I was living in Melbourne I started exploring the concept of playing in a chordless trio. As a result wrote a suite of tunes inspired by my six years study with great NYC drummer Ari Hoenig. In 2011 I recorded the album ‘Sneaking out after midnight’ in Brooklyn and invited world renowned musician’s saxophonist Joel Frahm and bassist Orlando le Fleming to join me on the session. It was a magical experience.
